DCO Dance Company wins Starbound Competition

Dance Centers of Orlando's Dance Company had an amazing competition weekend at the Starbound Dance Competition May 2010.

The DCO Dance Company Starbound Highlights

• 1st Place for Junior Trio: Chasing Cars, choreographed by Casey Saxon. The DCO Lyrical Dance, Chasing Cars also had the highest group score (293) of the competition, over all age groups!
• Placed 1st for Mini Duet/Trios: Ooh La La, a Jazz Dance routine choreographed by Laura Williams.
• Placed 1st for Mini Groups: Higher Ground, a Modern Fusion Dance choreographed by Casey Saxon.
  
  All 6 other DCO Company Group Dance Numbers (6 receiving High Gold) placed in the Top Ten Juniors and Seniors.
  
• Among them Imagine, choreographed by Karla Garcia
• Love is Gone, choreographed by Stephanie Kammer.

• Senior Contemporary Dance Solo, Zombie Insomniac (choreographed by Casey Saxon), received a high gold and placed 4th. Jessica was also invited to dance in the opening number at Starbound Nationals.
• Senior Tap Dance Solo, Control (choreographed by Laura Williams), received the Fabulous Feet Award. Jade was also invited to dance in the opening number at Starbound Nationals.
• Mini Musical Theater Dance Solo, Cruela Deville (choreographed by Laura Williams), received a High Gold.
