DCO Dance Company shines in First Competition: StarPower

Congratulations to our DCO Dance Company kids for their spectacular performance at the first dance competition attended by The Dance Centers of Orlando Company.

Highlights:
The DCO Dance Company received some special group awards:

• For Lyrical Dance, Imagine, choreographed by Karla Garcia DCO received the "Musicality Award".
• For Musical Theater Dance, Knights of the Round Table (choreographed by Laura Williams), DCO received the "Personality Plus Award" and won 1st place in its category.

The DCO Dance Company placed:

• the top ten for Junior Duet/Trios with Lyrical Dance, Chasing Cars, choreographed by Casey Saxon.
• the top ten for Mini Junior Duet/Trios with Ooh La La, a Jazz Dance routine choreographed by Laura Williams.
• the top ten for Small Junior Group, with Working in a Coalmine, a Tap Dance routine choreographed by Laura Williams. Working in a Coalmine also received an Overall Best Junior Group Award.

Chasing Cars and Senior Contemporary Dance Solo, Zombie Insomniac (choreographed by Casey Saxon), received DCO's highest scores, with 4.75 stars each.
